Carahsoft - All-Hands-In Giving Program

Carahsoft's All-Hand-In Giving program

Women Giving Back was one of the charities featured in Carahsoft's All-Hand-In Giving program.  Each Carahsoft team member selected a charity and out of 200 charities more than 50 Carahsoft employees selected Women Giving Back as their choice to "gift" company dollars. In addition as a featured charity WGB received double the dollars and was sent a check for a whopping $10K. We cherish partners like Carahsoft that enable us to continue our good work serving the community's most vulnerable women and children.

Leesburg Rotary

WGB was one of twelve Loudoun nonprofit recipients of a grant from the Leesburg Daybreak Rotary Club. The $2,000 grant will be used to support our 2018 Case Manager and Social Worker Open House and Community Resource Fair that will be held in October.

Ohio Women in Business

We were thrilled that Ohio University's “Ohio Women in Business” student group took the time out of their DC trip to pay WGB a visit. Especially as one of our Co-Founders, Terri Stagi is an OU alumni. These bright ladies received some great advice from OU alumni, Alexandra Schneider and they learned how corporate philanthropy is good for business.

We wish you great success in all you do, ladies!

Bill the “Shoe-man”

WGB under the leadership of Bill Dubois packed up approximately 25 bins of shoes that WGB could not use and donated them to the Tuscarora High School Marching Band.

The marching band is collecting shoes as a fundraiser.  It was a good time for us to clean out the shoe area to get ready for spring and help a local high school at the same time.

February Store

Thank you to all the Stella and Dot stylists and friends that came from near and far to volunteer for our Friday evening store, allowing us to be a part your Women's Empowerment panel and the donations of all the beautiful jewelry for our clients.

School Break Volunteers

From first time volunteers, to volunteer extraordinaries whose familiar faces make us smile, February’s store was a great success!

Pick-up & Delivery Driver

Women Giving Back is able to provide resources to those in need because of generous donations from our community partners. We have an urgent need of volunteers to pick up and deliver clothing from all over the metro area on various days.

Volunteer drivers, using their own vehicle are needed for ongoing and one-time donation pick-ups. Anyone who signs up for this position will get an email whenever we need a donation pick-up or delivery. All you have to do is respond if you can help, so the time commitment is very flexible.

If you would like to be added to our network of volunteer drivers please email: hunner@womengivingback.org.
