As I was working to try to get the existing racks put in order by color/style/etc., there were two volunteers from inside the store that kept coming to the back. They had a woman who was in need of a white shirt to wear for interviews. We scoured the racks – and just couldn’t find anything in her size.
So they went back to the woman and apparently she said she could probably wear blue or black. These same two young ladies came back into the storage area, climbing over the racks, through the racks, looking at every rack of shirts. Regardless of size! They were determined to find as many as they could to give her choices.
As I was squeezing myself through the handing racks to assist, I heard them both squeal with delight. They found several shirts … and before I could crawl back out … they were running into the store to share their bounty with the woman.
The two young volunteers returned a few minutes later – excited and purposeful – now on a mission to find a church outfit for another woman.
Heartwarming to see two teenagers so eager and happy to help others.
